Lakshminath Bezbarua (Assamese:[lɔkʰminatʰbɛzbɔɹuwa]]; 14 October 1864 - March 26,1938) was an Assamese poet, novelist and playwright of modern Assamese literature.
Commonly known as father of Assamese Short story .He was one of the literary stalwarts of the Jonaki Era, the age of romanticism in Assamese literature with his essays, plays, fiction, poetry and satires, he gave a new impetus to the then stagnating Assamese literary caravan.[1]
