The Philadelphia Eagles are headed back to the NFC conference championship game for the second time in three seasons thanks to a 28-22 win over the Los Angeles Rams Sunday night in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
Philadelphia's defense took control against the Green Bay Packers in the wild-card round with a 22-10 win.
Against the No. 4 seed Rams in the divisional round, the Eagles' running game took over, led by running back Saquon Barkley.
The free agent signee had a standout performance against the Rams in Week 12 of the regular season and backed that up again on Sunday in the snowy conditions in Philadelphia, punctuated by a 78-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
That was Barkley's second touchdown run of the night following a 62-yard scoring scamper in the first quarter.
Barkley had one of the best playoff performances by a running back in NFL history.
