Titanic Deckplans
The RMS Titanic's deck layout reflects the ship's dual purpose as a luxury liner for the wealthiest passengers in First Class, a practical vessel for emigrants largely in Third Class, and general middle-class travellers in Second Class.
Boat Deck: The uppermost deck housed the lifeboats, the ship's officers' quarters, and access to the bridge.
It featured the first-class promenade and the entrance to the grand staircase. All the Titanic's lifeboats were located in this area, making access for third-class passengers much more difficult.
A-Deck (Promenade Deck): This deck was reserved mainly for first-class passengers and included the elegant first-class promenade, staterooms, and public spaces like the lounge and reading rooms.
B-Deck (Bridge Deck): Home to the most luxurious first-class accommodation, including the Parlour Suites, the Verandah Café and Palm Court.
C-Deck (Shelter Deck): A transitional deck housing cabins mainly for first and second.
