KeiVarae Russell (born October 19, 1993) is an American former professional football player who was a cornerback in the National Football League (NFL).
He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the third round of the 2016 NFL draft. He played college football for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Early life
Russell attended Mariner High School in Everett, Washington, where he was named to the first-team Washington class 4A by the Associated Press as a senior,[1] after gaining 1,293 rushing yards on 177 attempts with 14 touchdowns.
He was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.[2]
Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, he was rated as the 9th-best athlete prospect of his class.[3] He committed to play college football for Notre Dame on December 29, 2011, over offers from California, USC and hometown Washington.[4
